These last two stages have been difficult. The decision to take five tyres was ours and we had to take it easy because we don't have many studs. The improvements we have seen this afternoon give me confidence for tomorrow.

This afternoon has definitely been better - credit to my engineer for the set-up changes that have helped me. I felt the studs going here though, and I only have one spare.

A big improvement over the morning. The car is not driving me anymore, I'm driving it. I need to use the brakes less - more on the right pedal.

Better. We made a small change to the car which has given me a lot more confidence. There were a lot of small holes and ruts in the corners here - we hit one and I thought I had a puncture, but it's ok.

I was surprised by how slippery it was out there. There are two ice lines to follow, and it's very slippery if you get off them.
