INFORMATION ABOUT SS 14
retired (81 - Pinter Rhys / Hall Philip): retired after SS 14
flash info (33 - Ptaszek Hubert / Szczepaniak Maciej): Really lucky to be here because we had a close call in a ditch on the first one. Now we're just focused on the driving.
flash info (31 - Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne): All going to plan. No problems. The car is working perfectly - and the crew too. I tried a different type of driving here - fully sideways, rather than the usual Tarmac style - and the time is better.
flash info (6 - Camilli Eric / Veillas Benjamin): The first one was very difficult with the high-speed crests, but we are happy and looking forward to the afternoon.
flash info (5 - Østberg Mads / Fløene Ola): It's been a good morning for sure. Hopefully I can increase my speed in the afternoon but there's not so much more I can do.
flash info (2 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Anttila Miikka): The rough times for me started after Germany and I have been too negative in my mind, but now it's coming. It's a mind game. Okay, this stage wasn't great, I didn't get a sense of the grip level yesterday. I could have done a better job.
flash info (20 - Sordo Dani / Martí Marc): It was okay this morning. We lost six or so seconds with an overshoot but otherwise no mistakes. Our target is to catch Ostberg.
flash info (4 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): We can't be disappointed. It could have been better but we're back in the fight. It will be much more difficult to take as much time again in Nambucca on the repeat but we'll give it our best shot.
flash info (9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Jæger Anders): A good morning. Seb took a risk on the soft tyres which paid off I think. For us, it's been okay, we have kept the gap more or less the same, but for sure this afternoon we must push.
flash info (3 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): I was concerned that the softs would be too soft for the conditions this morning. In hindsight we should have taken a few more risks with the tyre choice. But but we are still in the race. We won't give up.
flash info (1 - Ogier Sébastien / Ingrassia Julien): Soft compound tyres were completely the right choice. It was a bit of a risk but in our position it was all we could do. It turned out better than I expected. This afternoon there will probably be some issue with tyre wear, so I will have to be clever. It will be interesting.
